Hull’s FantastiCon 2016 set to be bigger than ever

A convention in Hull, called FantastiCon, will gather gamers, cosplayers, book lovers and sci-fi television and film enthusiasts next weekend writes Danielle Hayes.

The two-day event will be packed with virtual reality, live game streaming, book reading, live music and shows, cosplay competitions, board and RPG gaming and NERF wars.

FantastiCon will take place at The Guildhall on 19 and 20 November, from 10am until 10pm. There will also be an after party on both of the days that will last until 3.30am. People of all ages are welcome to take part and visit the event. There will be a children’s zone where free soft drinks will be available.

The event is run by Fantastic Books Publishing, a small independent publishing house. Daniel Grubb, the organiser of FantastiCon, spoke to us about the event.
