To approach the topic, ‘life of a person that inspires you in journalism context’, I have decided to examine the life of Emma Goldman (1869-1940).
I discovered Emma Goldman’s work through the book Cupcakes and Kalashnikov’s: 100 years of the best Journalism by women, by Eleanor Mills and Naomi Wolf. In this book Goldman’s article, ‘The Social Aspects of Birth Control’ (April 1916), reached out to me because due to the way she raised issues and defied government laws. Emma Goldman was an anarchist , political activist and writer.
For my interactive presentation and immersive media products, my target audience is going to people in mid teens and above. People interested in politics and feminism are more likely to be interested in the media I am going to create, due to Emma Goldman’s political impact.
