Reflection on embedding Google Maps into stories

Embedding Google maps into stories is a great way to visualise data. I think that by having the ability to create a map of anything is really useful, as you could mark out so many different things for areas. These maps could even lead to other stories by selecting the markers, which is very interactive. I think data visualisation is always the best when it’s simple and interactive, because it keeps audiences interested.

I started to created my own Google map of the car parks that surround Hull College, which could benefit students if I did go into more detail with it and include all of the car parks (as seen below).
